Embroidered wool applique and quilted textiles

Sue Campbell is a Newfoundland-born Mi’Kmaq fibre artist and proud member of the Qalipu First Nation. From her Kitchener-based studio, she creates work featuring colourful, stylized depictions inspired by themes from nature. Combining traditional methods of stitchwork, such as appliqué and embroidery, with natural fibres, her work seeks to raise awareness and appreciation of fibre work as a form of fine art.
